Why do I need a mock inspection?
- Reduce the risk of receiving a ‘Requires Improvement to be good’ or ‘Inadequate’ judgment at your next inspection.
Prevent your service from receiving unnecessary requirements and recommendations at Inspection.
A Mock inspection will help you to ensure that your setting’s inspection is a successful event and that self-evaluation is effective in identifying areas for development.
Mock Inspections provide evidence of self-reflective practice and quality improvement.
The mock inspection visit includes immediate recommendations for service improvement.
- The mock inspection mirrors the latest Inspection Framework in terms of the requirements, grading, judgments and reporting.
- Feedback is developmental and supportive, offering suggestions and recommendations for improvement.
- A full written report will be aligned to the inspection schedule and regulatory requirements of your service.
- The report includes guidance regarding areas of strength, areas for development as well as recommendations to achieve good or outstanding.
When can an Inspection be arranged?
We are able to conduct inspections at short notice and at a time and date which is most convenient for your setting.
We will always aim to hold a mock inspection within 7 days of your preferred inspection date, with the final report and plan of action delivered within 7 working days of the mock inspection.

Challenging behaviour was the accepted term for staff challenging young people in this organisation until Rezume were contracted to undertake Regulation 44 visits. Suddenly it was staff and managers being challenged – to accurately record, evaluate and evidence young people’s involvement in their care. And so the staff ‘kicked off’ as is traditional when challenged. Gradually this behaviour was modified and inspection judgements improved in tandem. Systems are now simplified and plans robustly assessed and reviewed due to independent QA at its best from Rezume.
