The role of the Responsible Individual in the Residential Family Assessment Centre is to oversee the management and performance of the centre, including the welfare of children and families placed at the centre and to represent the centre at a strategic level.

The Responsible Individual will be the point of contact between the centre and Ofsted and ensure the service is fully compliant with legislation, regulatory and good practice requirements, including The Residential Family Centres Regulations 2002 (amended) 2013 and Residential Family Centres National Minimum Standards and the social care common inspection framework (SCCIF).
