The role of the Residential Family Assessment Centre Senior Family Support Worker is to lead a team of support workers in being appropriate role models to families at the centre. The Senior Family Support Worker will support families to address their assessment goals and action plans in line with the family placement plan. Support the Manager and Deputy Manager by organising and leading the day-to-day shifts in the centre appropriate to the statement of purpose and take responsibility for managing daily activities at the centre, coordinating safeguarding concerns, supporting families and ensuring the smooth running of the shift.

The Residential Family Centre Senior Family Support Worker will demonstrate that they have the essential skills to support the leadership and management of the centre within their remit such that the centre has the capacity and capability to meet the Residential Family Centres National Minimum Standards and The Residential Family Centres Regulations 2002 and amendment 2013.
