Job Description

We are looking for a Manager who can provide inspired leadership, support and direction for their staff team and follow through with the company’s ethos. You will be responsible for the day to day running of our residential children’s home, ensuring the highest quality of care is provided for our children and young people. You will have a passion for working with children who have not had the easiest start in life and a desire to help them achieve in the areas of education, health, social, physical and psychological well-being.

Person Specification

We are looking for a person with experience of working in a children's residential environment including 2+years as a deputy manager or a registered manager.
You will ideally have the Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
You will have completed or be willing to work towards completion of NVQ or Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).
You will have experience of ‘Ofsted’ inspection.
You will have a passion and drive for the development of staff teams and individuals.
You will have an understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people.
You will need experience of working with young people with emotional and behavioural issues and complex needs including challenging behaviour.
You will have experience of how to support young people who may be involved in gangs, criminal or sexual exploitation, substance misuse and anti-social behaviour.
You will bring a practice knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations including the Quality Standards.
You will have the ability to participate in ‘On-Call-Manager’ Rota and take calls out of hours.

*Salary depending on experience £38,000 - £45,000
